As Dead by Daylight’s All Things Wicked Chapter brings with it a brand new Survivor, so too does it introduce a new set of Perks – so I’m here to break down some of the best builds you can run on Sable Ward using her new, unique Perks.

Sable’s Perks are a stark contrast to Alan Wake’s as the previous Survivor in the game, introducing new mechanics - and a new reason for Survivors to enter the Basem*nt.

Best Perk builds for Sable Ward

The builds you’ll find below are designed to complement Sable Ward’s three unique Perks in Dead by Daylight, which after spending enough Bloodpoints on her, can be taught to other Survivors so that they can use them too.

The Invocation: Weaving Spiders Build

Performing a rite alone is fun, but with friends it's powerful. This build helps you find Survivors to take into the Basem*nt with you, as well as gives you a means of defence and escape should your invocation be interrupted by a curious Killer.

Description

Invocation: Weaving Spiders

Sable Ward

When in the Basem*nt near the circle, press the Ability Button 1 to begin the Invocation. Invocations take 120 seconds. Other Survivors will see your aura during this and can join an ongoing interaction, increasing speed by 50% each. If they have an Invocation Perk equipped, they increase it by 100% instead.

Once the Invocation is completed: you become injured and broken for the rest of the Trial but reduce the max required Generator charges of all remaining Generators by 10 seconds. Completing the Invocation disables the Perk for all Survivors.

Hyperfocus

Rebecca Chambers

After hitting a great Skill Check, while repairing or healing, this Perk gains 1 token, up to 6 tokens. Each token increases the chance of Skill Check trigger by 4%, the Skill Check cursor speed by 4% and the bonus progression for great Skill Checks by 30% of its base value.

This Perk loses all tokens in case of normal Skill Check successes, Skill Check fails, or if the action is stopped by any means.

Resilience

General Perk

Grants 9% additional speed when repairing, sabotaging, healing, unhooking, vaulting, cleansing or blessing a Totem, opening exit gates, and unlocking while injured.

Wicked

Sable Ward

Your self-unhook attempts in the Basem*nt always succeed. When you are unhooked or unhook yourself, you see the Killer’s aura for 20 seconds.

The Strength in Shadows Build

While healing is always a strong ability in DbD, doing so in the Basem*nt is a dangerous thing indeed. So, the Perks you’ll find here will give you plenty of healing options, as well as a chance to hide should the Killer come sniffing around.

Description

Strength in Shadows

Sable Ward

When in the Basem*nt, this Perk activates. Allows you to heal without a med-kit at 70% normal healing speed. When you finish a heal in the Basem*nt, you see the Killer’s aura for 10 seconds.

Bite the Bullet

Leon S. Kennedy

When healing, you and the Survivor you're healing make no noise, including grunts of pain. There is no noise notification on failed healing Skill Checks and healing regresses only by 1%

Distortion

Jeff Johansen

You start the Trial with 3 tokens. When your aura would be shown to the Killer, the Perk activates and a token is consumed. For the next 10 seconds, while the Perk is activated, your aura and scratch marks will not be shown to the Killer.

This Perk does not activate when you are in the dying state. Regain a token for each 30 seconds spent inside the Killer's Terror Radius. Distortion may not have more than 3 tokens.

Lucky Star

Ellen Ripley

When you hide inside a locker, this Perk activates. You leave no pools of blood and make no grunts of pain for 10 seconds. When you exit the locker, you see other Survivors and the closest Generator's aura in yellow for 10 seconds. This Perk goes on cooldown for 30 seconds.

The Wicked Build

If you’re going to escape the Basem*nt, you’re going to want to have a swift escape plan. So, pairing Wicked with Lithe so you can quickly vault a window and get away will surely set you on the right path to freedom.

Wicked

Sable Ward

Your self-unhook attempts in the Basem*nt always succeed. When you are unhooked or unhook yourself, you see the Killer’s aura for 20 seconds.

Breakdown

Jeff Johansen

Any time you are removed from a hook (escaped or saved), the hook breaks and the Killer's aura is shown to you for 6 seconds. A hook broken by this Perk takes 180 seconds to respawn.

Decisive Strike

Laurie Strode

After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, Decisive Strike activates for the next 60 seconds. When being grabbed or picked up by the Killer, succeed a Skill check to automatically escape their grasp and stun them for 3 seconds. After stunning the Killer, you will become the new Obsession. While Decisive Strike is active, performing Conspicuous Actions will deactivate it for the remainder of the Trial.

Lithe

Feng Min

After performing a Rush Vault action, break into a sprint of 150% of your normal Running Movement speed for a maximum of 3 seconds. Lithe causes the Exhausted Status Effect for 40 seconds.

What are Invocation Perks in DbD?

Invocation Perks are a new subset of Perks introduced with Sable Ward, and while there is currently only one at the time of writing, they are intended to be high-risk-high-reward Perks that will greatly benefit Survivors - but come at a price.

When Mikaela Reid was brought into Dead by Daylight, she introduced the Boon Perks that allowed Survivors to bless Totems for unique effects. Invocation Perks work similarly but will require Survivors to perform rituals of sorts in the Basem*nt of the map, like the one you'll see above.
