This was really good, but I used red cabbage since I had no radicchio. Thickly sliced red cabbage tossed in olive oil. salt, & pepper, done in a grill pan.
And so easy!

I cooked this yesterday for a co*cktail hour for friends in the neighborhood. A big platter, with the grilled radicchio and sweet italian sausages. I also grilled zucchini and red peppers - the platter was pretty and the food was delicious! Quick and easy. A keeper! I grilled the radicchio on both sides, as I wanted a stronger, smoky flavor. It was perfect.

This will be a spring/summer go-to recipe. We've done it with pork sausage and turkey sausage, and both were great. I toss a few scallions on the grill, too. I slice the scallions and radicchio, toss them with arugula and basil. Make a quick vinaigrette with olive oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon. Toss the salad with the dressing. Top it with the sausage. Delicious. Light and easy. I think the Dijon in the vinaigrette really plays well off the sausage.

No grill, so I seared the radicchio for 1 minute on each side. Used pork bratwurst from Whole Foods. A twist to the recipe, cooked green apple to cut through bitterness of the radicchio. I peeled green apple cooked in butter and a touch of brown sugar. This is a keeper.

We loved this because we enjoy vibrant, spicy foods.Followed recipe, adding some honey-sweetened mustard vinagrette to the lemon on the radicchio, and served this with salty, baked fingerling potatoes and a cold dry rose. Mmmmmm.Simple!

I executed this recipe EXACTLY AS WRITTEN. It was so simple and delicious. It does not need substitutions or brown sugar or any bloody other thing.

I made this as directed the first time and it was great. But, for a twist, I made it in my grill pan using chorizo and boiled up some penne. I cut the chorizo into bite-sized pieces and tossed it and the radicchio with the pasta. It was great.

Was exhausted and about ordered takeout. Thank you Melissa Clark for talking me down with a minimal effort maximal satisfaction Friday meal plan. The basil and lemon add a touch of summer freshness. Enjoyed with the last of the Dijon in my fridge and leftover potato salad. Hot dog! And home run!

Just perfect with coarse salt and lemon!

This was the easiest dinner ever - minimal prep and clean up, and the flavors were amazing. I used Aidell’s chicken apple sausage which is slightly sweet and a great foil for the bitter radicchio and sour lemon dressing. Will be making this again and again.

The radicchio came out bitter but looked very pretty on the plate. Overall the dish was lovely, though. I might substitute some other greens or red cabbage next time I try this. As another reviewer suggested, I grilled some other veggies on the side - summer squash and red pepper --and added to the plates. Looked and tasted good.

Grill a sliced fennel bulb with the raddichio, lightly coat with a clean oil if grilling...olive oil will burn quickly and leave a burned/oily residue. Cracked pepper/kosher salt to task at end of the grill, turn into a bowl. Sausages? If you want, but almost anything else will do.Add to bowl: Chopped dates and sliced kale/good lettuce.A yogurt/homemade mayo/olive oil and honey dressing, with fennel seeds to accentuate the fennel bulb.

Simple, humble food that was absolutely delicious. I made a whole-grain mustard based vinaigrette. Grilled sliced red onion along w/ the radicchio and tossed both vegetables in the vinaigrette. Didn't have basil, but used oregano in the vinaigrette for the herbal note.

This was good! Italian sausages on the grill, a grill pan with onions & peppers. I think I overcooked the radicchio - a little crispier would have been better. Added a little arugula & sunflower sprouts to the "salad". Per advice below I made a wine vinegar vinaigrette with dijon, but I think next time I'll just use lemon & a little more olive oil. My husband made it into sandwiches for himself, I eschewed the bread, & we were both happy.

This was delicious and super easy - everyone loved it. I also grilled the radicchio on both sides as another person suggested and added a bit more lemon. it presented beautifully too. I added a cold green bean salad as the other side - will make again!

I have made this many times, always with red cabbage in a grill pan, but the new addition is adding sliced peeled apples to the cabbage. And after browning thew sausages on the bottom grill, definitely finish grilling the sausages on the upper grill and let them drip onto the cabbage and apples for wonderful flavor.
